Adult only resorts

I took the advice on this forum last year and went to an adult only resort…wow, that’s a great vacation away from the kids. We were able to get out and dance without the bar being run by all the teenagers.
I’m looking for some suggestions on nice adult only resorts. (please NO suggestions of clothing optional resorts)
Thanks.

I see you went to EPM, that would be hard to beat from what I hear (we’re going there in January).

I hear Iberostar Grand Paraiso is right up there too. Secrets Maroma Beach would be another good choice IMHO.

Let us know what resort you select!!

 The Catalonia Royal Tulum is turning into adults only in November. :-*

Two very different suggestions for you:

Club Med Turks and Caicos - 3 star accomodations, 4-5 star food and drinks, 6 star activities, loads of fun.

Casa Isabel - boutique adults only hotel overlooking Puerto Vallarta, outstanding service, incredible views, short walk down (harder up!) to beaches, great restaurants…

Neither is a standard luxury AI resort, both offer very different experiences with no kids around and, in ways, much more than the usual AI.

In Mexico, I would heartily suggest the Valentin Imperial Maya - it will be one year old in NOvember, and I was there in Sept. Magnificent - every meal was fabulous, rooms, pool, restaurants - a ten-star!

tom1, great suggestions. Do you have any website links or photos or photo links to give us a visual of these places?

Club Med:

Note that Club Med is an AI resort, but very different from the usual animal. They always have a huge intermational activity staff (in Cancun, around 85 people hailing from around 20 countries), a very wide range of all-included activities (including lessons and equipment) and a very nice, casual social atmosphere. By my tastes, I’ve been to top level Iberostars and would take a Club Med over it hands down. (But others will have very different tastes…).

Casa Isabel in Puerto Vallarta:

Check also the reviews of Casa Isabel on TripAdvisor (people I know who have stayed there LOVE it). And for places to eat, maps… in PV, check www.vallartainfo.com/ (I believe that www.allvallarta.com also has a good restaurant list).

Maybe you should check out Royal Hideaway in Playacar? Great adult only resort & no nudity.

heading out to MCSM in Cuba in Jan

Royal Hideaway has also opened a resort in Cuba

I am planning my vacation down south. I have never been to Cuba and was wondering if it is a nice place to visit. Any suggestions on an Adults only Resort?? ::slight_smile:
