As of the time of this posting, NOAA isn’t saying anything. They only mention Wilma.

I hope the Yucatan doesn’t get hit - we’re going in November…http://hurricane.accuweather.com/hurricane/nhc-story.asp?partner=accuweather&story=1

I have been following the National Hurricane Centre site and there is no mention of that…and I find them to be a very reliable source.

It was written in the link I provided above.
quote …WILMA CONTINUES WEST-NORTHWESTWARD TOWARD THE YUCATAN AS A
POTENTIALLY CATASTROPHIC CATEGORY FIVE HURRICANE…

A HURRICANE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM SAN FELIPE TO TULUM ON
THE YUCATAN PENINSULA…INCLUDING COZUMEL AND THE NEARBY ISLANDS.
A HURRICANE WARNING IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR SWAN ISLAND.

A TROPICAL STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM SOUTH OF TULUM TO
CHETUMAL MEXICO…AND FOR BELIZE FROM THE BORDER WITH MEXICO
SOUTHWARD TO BELIZE CITY.

A HURRICANE WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THE EAST COAST OF THE
YUCATAN PENINSULA FROM SOUTH OF TULUM TO PUNTA GRUESA.

I am sorry to say but the Yucatan will get hit. Path is projected only a few miles offshore.

Hola: There is a tropical wave moving west, about 300 miles east of the Leeward Islands. NOAA says that conditions are not favorable for development at this time. Hopefully they won’t be favorable at any time. We arrive in Punta Cana next Wed. (Oct 26), so I hope the “wave” dissapates or goes on by.
