Yes. The new Samsung units now work but the previous chip-set would not allow a Wi-Fi connection when the GPS was showing your location as Cuba.
Jelly-Bean and Kit-Kat were the OS’s and everything works now with Marshmallow.

My Samsung S5 didn’t pick up the Etecsa Wi-Fi signal when it was running on Lollipop (Android 5). Now I have Marshmallow (Android 6) it works fine.
I picked up a Samsung S4 Android 5.01 for this trip because my iPhone was acting up.
