I am going to the Dreams Palms in 2nd week of Feb. I am getting very concerned with the reviews I have been reading. Some love the place others say it was a nightmare. Not sure what to believe but my trip is booked and non refundable at this point. Has anyone gone there in the past week. Heard it reopened in Dec after multiple name changes.
Some people say the ice in the drinks is ok , others say its not.
Would like an honest review from someone that has been there in the past week. Do you really have to wait in line for reservations for a restauraunt for 1hr, are the rooms really bad as some say, AC noisy or not working, missing bulbs in rooms, poor desk service, etc. I was really looking forward to this vacation but am getting very concerned that I may have wasted my money on a sub standard hotel that is going ruin our vacation.
Maybe I just need to chill out and stop reading the posts and see for my self…but the internet being what it is…I need to know
thanks for any info
We just returned on the 23rd and we are the Dreams Palm Beach for 9 days… and I can put your concerns to rest… Of all the people we talked to there, and from our own experiences … everyone was quite happy with the resort.
There is still a little work being done on the entertainment center which according to BigDaddy, the entertainment coordinator, should be open and fully operational by Feb 14th. They presently have a temporary stage set up outside pool area by building 6.
All the restaurants are fully operational, and the longest we EVER waited was 15mins…
Rooms at this resort, least ours and the 8or9 we visited of ppl we met there (we were nosey too) were in excellent condition. Building 2 and 4 were the last to be finished, and they should of been done by the end of this week, just minor painting to touch them up.
All ice in drinks and water is purified…no worries!!!
The staff at this resort is exceptionally friendly and helpful.
Only downside we found at the resort was the very small casino, but if your not into that…no worries then
Dont miss the SeaSide grill for a wonderful dinner, and also the Bordeaux…which is adults only…for a nice quiet dinner. Buffet restaurant is large with very wide assortment of meal choices.
Any minor problems were addressed by calling the front desk immediately…which alot of ppl complimented on the quick service.
I should have my full review of this resort posted within a few days, as well as my review of Dreams Punta Cana.
Any more questions, please dont hesitate to PM me.
