Handicap Friendly Resorts

Any suggestions for someone in a wheelchair? Thanks

If a beach front property isn’t a requirement I’d suggest Riu Lupita in the Mayan. Smaller resort with some wheelchair friendly rooms and the entertainment, bar and buffet area is all in the same area which is close by to those rooms. Only thing is the pool isn’t wheelchair friendly.

I believe Portugal is a great destiny for people in a wheelchair. I saw this video and forum that you might find interesting.

Just got back from 2 weeks in Portugal. Not very accessible except with the proper vehicle and in more modern buildings. The cities we visited (Lisbon, Porto, Albufeira are beautiful but old hilly towns with narrow cobblestone sidewalks (where they existed) and streets, hard enough for a healthy able bodied person (except the local young women who can mange this with high heels  ) hate to think of someone with issues walking or in a wheel chair.
