I had a very good trip. Lots of snorkelling, but not so much sailing as usual since it was very windy. That may seem counter intuitive, but the protective reef keeps things close to shore calm enough for snorkelling when it is basically red flag weather outside and too windy to venture out with the Hobie. I did have a great sail on my last day. The wind had backed off a bit, and the waves were quite big, so it was a fun ride. We went out via the channel, but returned by surfing a wave over a low spot in the reef.
I did love my room, although Los Corales certainly isn't the lap of luxury. The big balcony and the view make up for any deficiencies in room amenities. Water was hot for showers and everything worked. Can't ask for a lot more. Food at Corales leave something to be desired, but the a la carte offerings are very good. They do an excellent job with fish!
