ty…so what it LOOKS like is Cuba is ok with a month after your last day in the Country…BUT the airline may bump you if you have less than six months ?? Anyway I emailed the passport folks and when I get an OFFICIAL answer I ll let ya all in on i t

Entry requirements such as passport validity and visas fall within the jurisdiction of the host country, not of the country issuing the passport.

As iriemon said, you have plenty of time left on your passport, don’t worry!

So I’m guessing that 2008 is a typo, you mean you are going March 21st 2009. Anyway, don’t worry, you will be fine.

“… Anyway I emailed the passport folks and when I get an OFFICIAL answer I ll let ya all in on it…”

Cuba controls the entry requirement, not Canada and not the airline.

One month validity on a Canadian Passport is fine.

(Note: This is not the case with many other nationalities…)

For Cuba, all you need is one week after your departure from Cuba
