Tipping at the Decameron

#1

Hi there.
Going to the Decameron next week, and we are getting excited. I have heard lots of great things. Can anyone tell me what is appropriate as far as tipping goes. I am thinking of the maids and the waiters at the a la carte restaurants in particular. Any other pointers would also be appreciated. We have heard that two trips in particular are interesting. The indigineous people tour and the monkey boat tour…any comments ?
Looking forward to hearing some feedback. Thanks. Jim

Jim:

The indigineous people tour is definitely a must. Also be sure and visit the locks. Regardless if you have seen other locks/canals - you have to see these.

Regarding tipping - that is at your discretion. We usually tip about two dollars for the maids daily.
