Tips for travelling with a toddler

The last time my husband & I were in Cuba, we stayed at a wonderful 5 star adults-only resort. Our biggest concerns during our trip were what palapa to sit under at the beach and which a la carte to go to in the evening.

We will now be taking our first all inclusive trip with a toddler this summer. Something tells me that the number of concerns might increase for this trip!

All tips and advice for traveling to Cuba with young children are very appreciated!

The aqua park they put in is amazing and the child center is top notch.

Pick a resort that is not too large …Playa costa verde is one such resort. Staff get to know you faster and that always works out well.

Always always …always have your child wearing shoes. It is so easy for a toddler to cut their foot and there are parasites in the tropics we here in northern climates just do not have to deal with.

Do not take their most favorite toy. Buy a new ‘cousin’ toy prior to the trip & take it … that way if it goes missing “favorite toy” is still @ home waiting for your return.

How old is your toddler?

Thanks for the tips!

My toddler is 3.
