What's the best way to make Mamajuana

I brought some dry mamajuana home last year and just can’t get the right taste. Looking for some help, so i can enjoy one of my favorite drinks.

I’ve not made it myself, but the general consensus is that the first batch is discarded and the next ones are much better. ::slight_smile:

I am sure one of our Dominican friends on here can correct me if I am wrong…But I was told 60% Rum, 35% Red Wine, 5% Honey.

Let the first one sit for 30-45 days, throw it out… next batch is drinkable…every batch after that is better than the previous one.

One set of leaves is good for about 10 batches, then you start again…
